I am a Rock Hill native and still currently reside in Rock Hill. We always had pets growing up and my love for animals steered me towards Veterinary medicine when I was in my twenties. I received my B.S. in Biology from Winthrop University and my D.V.M. from Tuskegee University in Alabama. I opened Newport Veterinary Hospital in 1987. I enjoy hanging out with my two Jack Russell’s, Rascal and Jackson, and two cats, Tux and Boots. Some of my favorite things are listening to music, especially James Taylor and Pink Floyd, yard work, fishing, snorkeling and traveling to exotic lands.

I was born in Berlin, Germany and grew up an “Army brat,” until we settled in New Jersey. I knew I wanted to become a Veterinarian in Elementary school, after caring for a very sick kitten and then I was hooked! I went on to receive my B.S. in Biology from Towson University in Maryland. I then attended Louisiana State University to receive my D.V.M. I joined Newport Veterinary Hospital in July 2006. I love to spend time with my family and friends including four dogs, Charlie, P-Nut, Badger and Levi, and two cats, Derby and Zombie. My favorite things to do are Laughing, mud runs, boating and watching movies when I find the time! I also LOVE reality TV! (Don’t judge me! HAHA)

I was born in  Pennsylvania and moved to Clover when I was very young. I started working for Newport Vet in May 1999 after school in the kennel. I have worked in every position in the hospital from kennel and vet tech to reception. I graduated from Winthrop in 2004 with a B. A. in Psychology. I currently live in York with my husband and son. We have one dog, Ichabod, and three cats named Dainty, Barabus and Roman. I love to read, binge watch Netflix, anything to do with the show Supernatural, and spend time with my family.

I am from Pennsylvania and moved to the Carolinas in 1998. I began working for Newport Vet as a receptionist in September 2012. I currently live in Newport with my husband, four yellow labs - Bama, Idgie, Sipsie, Sandy and three cats - Socz, Tonks and Blanche. I love to hang out with my dogs, husband, three daughters and my granddaughter. My hobbies include, but are not limited to, traveling, sailing, sewing, reading/watching Harry Potter and ANYTHING artistic! Art is my passion; I am Shelly of all trades!

I was born in Pineville, NC but was raised and currently live in Rock Hill, SC. I live with my dog Brodie. I have loved animals from the time I was young and I'm glad to finally have the opportunity to work with them! I began working here in April 2019. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my animals, shopping, traveling and binge watching shows on Netflix!
